Mirna Mora is owned and operated by Colin Perkovic. An avid angler his entire life, Colin is proud of his business Mirna Mora (meaning calm seas in Croatian) and, with business partner, Barrington Black, the opportunity to share The Tenkara Fishing Method with the world.

Around five years ago Colin was introduced to The Tenkara method and hasn’t looked back. Most of his angling is now about Tenkara and exploring new ways and locations. After using traditional Tenkara rods and equipment he began tinkering with his own blanks and designs to create a more robust rod which would allow him to fish tighter, more heavily timbered water. Using the Tenkara method has also allowed for younger friends and family members to catch fish who would have struggled with more traditional angling methods.

Barrington was introduced to Tenkara whilst working with Colin on wooden boats. With a background in Product Innovation, Industrial Design and a genuine love of fishing the idea grew to develop the method further together and adopt their own take on the ancient fishing style.
